"While making a new choice with our direction in life isn’t easy, easy isn’t the point.

THE POINT IS TO HONOR YOUR SOUL.

The point is to honor the Truth of who you are and what you want. The point is to create a life of purpose, meaning and joy using the gifts and desires that God gave you."

- Jewell Siebert in Permission Granted

What I Believe....

Time is Our Most Precious Resource

Becoming a mom is what taught me the true value of time.

We get ONE CHANCE here in this life.

One chance to be with the people we love.

One chance to make a difference and do good things that will create a ripple effect for our kids, and their kids....

But there's more than fancy titles, promotions, and amazing vacations (although those are great too).

For me, a life well-lived is all about how we choose to invest those moments of time we've been given.

Mr. Rogers Was Right About You

"People can like you exactly as you are." - Fred Rogers

It took me an embarrassingly long time (and a lot of hard lessons) to figure that out.

But the fact is, when we come to appreciate the Truth of who we are and what we want - without trying to fit into some other version of who we "should" be - everything is easier.

We get more done without burning out.

We have better relationships, and have more sweet little moments with the people we love.

And we're a heck of a lot happier at the end of day.

It's Not You; It's That Willpower Isn't Enough

I used to think that if I just had enough willpower, I'd finally "get it together."

I'd be more consistent with my projects, I'd have better habits, and I'd finally create a business that let me make a living doing work I loved.

It didn't work.

Because willpower is only part of the equation (and a pretty small part, at that).

There are so many other things that make us successful - our mind-body / nervous system, our environment, and our connection to our purpose (no surprise there, right?).

And we can make them all work together by doing simple yet effective practices that add up to big results.

A Bit About Me

You might be wondering: "Who the heck are you...?

What do you know about helping people...?

And even though I can't see your feet in that top picture up there, you're smiling like you're secretly not wearing shoes or something."

(You totally got me on the no shoes thing, by the way.)

An Unexpected Start

I'm kind of an introvert.

An introvert who's admittedly loud and silly when in the right company, but an introvert nonetheless.

So it was a surprise to everyone (except my mom) when I got accepted at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

That's where I first learned the importance of planning, organization, and.... meditation.

Seriously, I learned how to meditate in the infamous Egg Chair.

Army Experiences

After graduating, I spent 14 years as an Active Duty Army Officer.

I met some of my closest friends, learned how to thrive in stressful situations, and had 4 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Now I'm in the Army Reserves.

Training & Certifications

After leaving Active Duty and starting this next chapter, I decided to become a professional coach so I could help other people.

My certifications include: Associate Associate Certified Coach (ACC), International Coaching Federation (ICF); Certified Professional Coach, Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC); Certified Canfield Trainer in the Success Principles; Energy Leadership Index - Master Practitioner.

Books

I've coauthored 5 bestselling books where I share what I've learned along the way.

(My daughter and I are working on our first children's book right now.)  :)

AND I'M TELLING YOU THESE THINGS SO YOU SEE THAT WHEN I TALK ABOUT:

  • Dealing with stressful situations

  • Navigating the messiness of starting over, or

  • Getting things done when you're stretched too thin and not feeling 100% confident about yourself....

I'm doing it from a place of experience

My work is a unique combination of schoolhouse training + real world life lessons.

I believe that we all deserve to be happy and fulfilled.

And a big part of that is letting go of the doubts, worries, and insecurities that we secretly hold onto, and unapologetically embrace who we are - big bear hug-style.

It just takes a small, consistent steps in what I call the Best Version of You Philosophy.

Best Version of You Philosophy

When you're being the best version of yourself, you have more ease, get more done, and  can be truly present with the people you love.

It's all about clarity, confidence and action.

"There is only one like you in the whole world.

There's never been anyone exactly like you before, and there will never be again.

Only you.

And people can like you exactly as you are."

- Fred Rogers
